These terms apply when you access or use Nutrons. Your Nutrons account is also used on NZO, Nutrons' kitchen companion (see Section 3). Please read them carefully before creating an account or using the service.
1. What Nutrons Is
Nutrons is a nutrition and flavour information platform that aggregates public nutritional data and presents it using published scoring and analysis methods. By using Nutrons, you agree to these terms.
2. Not Medical Advice
Nutrons provides nutritional information for educational and informational purposes only. FoodCompass scores, nutrient breakdowns, AI-generated summaries, and all other content on the platform are not medical, dietary, or health advice. They do not replace consultation with qualified healthcare professionals. Do not make health decisions based solely on information from Nutrons.
3. One Account Across Nutrons and NZO
Nutrons and NZO, Nutrons' kitchen companion for recipes and guided cooking, share a single account, sign-in, and profile. The credentials you use for one work for the other, and profile data such as your display name, age, and preferences is shared between both services.
Because there is one account, deleting your account from either Nutrons or NZO deletes it from both. The NZO terms also apply to your use of that shared account and are available at nzo.nutrons.ai/terms.
4. Accounts and Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Nutrons. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it when needed.
We may suspend or terminate access to the service if we believe your account is used in a way that harms Nutrons, NZO, other users, or the integrity of the service.
5. User Content and AI Outputs
Content you upload or submit, such as recipe text, recipe photos, feedback, and search queries, remains yours. You grant Nutrons a limited licence to host, process, transform, and display that content only as needed to provide and improve the service.
Some features use artificial intelligence to generate or enrich results. AI outputs may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or unexpected results. You should review them before relying on them.
6. Data Sources and Third-Party Services
Nutrons uses public and licensed food composition databases, including FRIDA, UK Composition of Foods, Swiss Food Composition Database, USDA FoodData Central, and Phenol-Explorer. These sources may contain errors, omissions, or outdated values.
Nutrons also relies on third-party services such as Supabase, Google, Anthropic, Pinecone, and Vercel to operate account, hosting, analytics, search, and AI-related features. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse Nutrons, attempt to interfere with the service, or use it to submit unlawful, harmful, or infringing content. You also agree not to attempt to bypass access controls, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, or scrape the platform in a way that creates unreasonable load.
8. Service Availability
Nutrons is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that the service will meet every user requirement. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nutrons and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to reliance on nutritional data, AI-generated content, or service interruptions.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this page. Continued use of Nutrons after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
